Our whole experience at Bailey's Retreat was very pleasant. Upon arrival we had some issues opening the lock box and Mandy was there within minutes to help us enter the property, giving us helpful tips and point us to the very thoughtful welcome pack with milk, bread and other goodies. Throughout our stay Mandy would answer any questions we had almost instantly.Bailey's Retreat is very conveniently located on Station Road which is also the road between Lincoln and Horncastle. The only downside is that two of the three bedrooms face the street which means there may be some traffic noise in the morning, so if you're sensitive to that it may be wise to bring some earplugs. After the first morning it didn't bother us anymore and we slept wonderfully in the very comfy beds. The location means that you are in Lincoln in about 15-20 minutes. Everything in the village is within walking distance. Sunny's Fish and Chips (great value for money!) is 2 minutes walk, the Open Door coffeeshop serves great cakes and sandwiches. The Coop supermarket is about 10 minutes walk. Don't forget to visit Bardney Manor Walled Garden (Sundays only), next to the charming 15th century church. The cottage itself is very well equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable with a special mention for the kitchen which has, on top of all the equipment already listed on the site, a slow cooker, an airfryer and a Tassimo coffee machine. From muffin tin to kitchen scales to garlic press, it's all there. The spacious garden was a treat as well. All in all we had a great stay in a wonderful cottage with a very friendly and attentive host. Highly recommended.

An excellent holiday home. Very clean and very well equipped. An ideal base for many attractions in the area. We wouldn't fault it in any way, would have no hesitation in booking it again and would recommend highly to others.

This is a lovely cottage with everything there that makes it a home from home experience. Other than the welcome that Mandy gave us on day one when we had a small question the response was within minutes which was really appreciated. Would highly recommend Bailey's Retreat and would definitely stay there again.
