A lovely cottage in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by a copse of trees but we weren't allowed to wander in the trees as it was the owner's back garden and had been abused by previous customers.But on getting an OS Map before we travelled, we found there was nowhere to walk the dogs, no public right of ways anywhere near the cottage except up and down the road.Photocopied walks were in the cottage, but all necessitated getting the dogs in the car first. We were hoping not to use the car during our short break.The hot tub was nice, but is wood fired and took all day to reach a relaxing temperature. We bought wood from the owner, and warmed it up again each day.All well equipped, except for a bed sheet for the bed/settee, but I had brought my own.A small freezer would have been good as we'd brought all our food for the week. A dishwasher would have been nice - we washed things before we used them, as I'm sure things had just been previously rinsed under the tap - not the owner's fault. At least with a dishwasher things may be kept cleaner...There was an awful smell in the kitchen and a lot of flies - we reported it to the owner, who was going to check it out once we left....

Absolutely beautiful cottage hidden away 15 mins from main town for shopping etc only concern was having to heat the hot tub ourselves when arrived as it was freezing it took until 11pm to heat enough to get in and not being able to use the woodland area due to past guests abusing the owners for walking there own dogs there which is disgraceful it’s there land and guests should respect that but Robert absolutely brilliant got hot tub going and explained what to do keep it warm thanks definitely for the peace and quiet life which if this is what your looking for definitely recommend
