There's a fenced grass area out front, which the kids loved using the firepit in. We enjoyed the many public footpaths to explore and Rigsby Woods was lovely. For shopping, there's a co-op in Alford. We weren't quite sure what to pack, but they provided tea towels, hand soapand washing up liquid, plus some foil, clingfilm, a delicious plum cakeand milk on arrival (just no tea or coffee).!
