Cowslip is an extremely well equipped and comfortable cottage, located in a rural area conveniently close to the A1. There are two farm cottages attached to each other here, with plenty of land around them to provide a peaceful setting and plenty of privacy. It appears the cottages were renovated recently to an extremely high standard throughout, so although the charm of the original buildings has been retained, there's every mod con you could hope for. The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into guests' comfort and the cottage (and hot tub) were spotlessly clean. For those who enjoy exploring the outdoors, the Chesterfield canal is within walking distance, and there are plenty of other interesting walks just a short drive away, including Sherwood Forest. We enjoyed a very relaxing bank holiday weekend here and we would highly recommend.

Lovely setting. Cottage neat and warm with all fixtures, fittings and decor to an excellent standard. Lovely welcome pack received, clearly tailored to our specific party. Clear and timely communication from hosts. Good stock of kitchen utensils for self-catering with decent sized hob, oven and microwave and a generous fridge-freezer with 3 good sized freezer drawers for food storage.

Really lovely cottage, well equipped & perfect for a relaxing break. Everything we needed was there. The hot tub was lovely & warm, we used it daily. The bird feeding station outside the cottage was great to watch, we even had a woodpecker on the feeder. We didn’t venture in the local area so can’t recommend anywhere to visit. We went for a rest & truly did. Thank you very much Tracey, Mark, Maxine & Stuart.
