We spent a lovely week at this cosy wood cabinand it really was just what we needed. The owners had thought of everything - the kitchen was spotless and fully stockedand the beds were super comfy with warm throws for chillier evenings. We didn't try the hot tub, but the outdoor seating with views over the private lake was perfect for relaxing. Our dog loved exploring around the woodland and scent trails of deer and rabbits. The owners were friendly and made us feel very welcome - we'd definitely return!

The garden was a highlight, with plenty of seats and that fantastic hot tub! The area around was absolutely stunning, perfect for a quick escape. We'd definitely recommend a trip to Newark for a day out. The hosts were genuinely warm and friendly; they even offered us some homemade gyozas which was such a sweet touch. We also got a surprise late-night visit from their friendly dog, Shadow - made us wish we'd brought our own pups along! Honestly, if you're after a peaceful break, this place ticks all the boxes. We'll be back for sure!
